Nominations Process
The Sport Winchester Awards are about celebrating the people, clubs and communities that make sport in our city so special. We’ve designed the nominations process to be simple, open and inclusive, so that anyone who has seen great sport in action can help recognise it.
-
Anyone can submit a nomination.
You do not need to be part of a club or a member of Sport Winchester. Nominations are welcomed from:
Club members
Coaches and volunteers
Parents and supporters
Local residents
Teammates and friends
We believe great stories come from all corners of the community, and opening up nominations helps us capture the true impact of sport across Winchester.
-
This depends on the award category:
Club and Team Awards
These awards are open to clubs and teams who are members of Sport Winchester. This is about recognising and rewarding the clubs who are actively part of our network and contributing to sport in the city.
Individual Awards
These awards are open to everyone in the Winchester community. This means individuals do not need to be part of a Sport Winchester member club to be nominated. We want to recognise outstanding people wherever they are making an impact in sport.

-
The best nominations are simple, honest and specific.

What impact have they had on others?
Why do they stand out?
You don’t need to write an essay. Just help us understand why they deserve to be celebrated.
