FAQs

What is Sport Winchester?

Sport Winchester is an independent, voluntary organisation that was formed in 2023 by a group of dedicated Sports Club leaders, with deep experience in business and public service, to carry forward the aims and ambitions of its predecessors Winchester Sport and Leisure Trust (SALT) and Winchester Community Sport Alliance.

What is the aim of Sport Winchester?

The aim of the organisation is to support the sporting requirements and ambitions of all grass roots Sports Clubs and groups collectively and individually within the Winchester area and to maintain a practical interest in securing top class sporting facilities for all.   We aim to create 'One Voice for Sport in Winchester' and we aim to build strong relationships with Winchester City Council, Hampshire County Council landowners, developers, the community and volunteer groups to achieve this.
